"Cubic Foot per Second (cfs)" means the unit of measurement used in reporting stream discharge, sometimes referred to as second-foot (sec-ft). It is a volume of one cubic foot passing a given point during one second of time and is equivalent to 7.48 gallons per second or 448.8 gallons per minute.
