Section 273-5-002 - EXTENSION OF ORIGINAL PROBATION

An agency head may extend the original probation of an employee for reasons of performance, transfer, or promotion for a period not to exceed a total of one year from the date of hire, rehire, or transfer. The employee will be notified in writing of the extension before the expiration of the probationary period.
002.01 The notification of extension will include the specific period of extension In cases of extension for performance reasons, the employee will be provided specific performance improvement requirements.
