Rule 37.5.503 - NOTICE UPON APPLICATION FOR PUBLIC ASSISTANCE

(1) At the time of application for benefits administered by the department, including but not limited to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), food stamps, Medicaid, LIEAP, LIWAP, refugee assistance, and daycare benefits, a claimant shall be informed in writing of:
(a) the claimant's right to a
hearing;
(b) how a hearing may be
obtained;
(c) the right to
representation by legal counsel, relative, friend, or other
spokesman;
(d) notice of the
possible penalties for intentional program violations; and
(e) any other information specifically
required by applicable law, including department rule.
