Rule 36.22.607 - DRILLING PERMITS PENDING SPECIAL FIELD RULES

(1) Upon receipt by the board of an application or petition from any person requesting the establishment of special field rules for spacing of wells within a certain designated area all or a portion of which is not then subject to field rules or upon a decision by the board to call a hearing for the establishment of such special field rules, applications for permits to drill within such area will be held in abeyance by the board until such time as the matter has been fully heard and determined, unless the location of the well or wells in such applications to drill conform to the spacing applied for.

(2) In the event two or more applications for spacing covering all or a portion of the same area are awaiting hearings at the same time, applications for permits to drill within such area will be approved only if such applications conform to the largest spacing applied for.
