(1) Following the contested case proceeding or summary disposition before the board's agent, the board's agent will serve a copy of the proposed decision and recommended order upon the parties. The parties shall have 20 days from the date the proposed decision and recommended order is mailed to file exceptions with the board.

(2) If briefs in support of a party's exceptions are to be submitted, those briefs must be filed with the board at least 15 days before the board hearing or the briefs will not be accepted or considered.
