Rule 24.219.912 - CBHPSS TRAINING COURSE AND EXAMINATIONS

(1) Board-approved training courses must include an examination that must be passed. The course must provide content including but not limited to:
(a) Substance
Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) core
competencies;
(b) boundaries and
ethics;
(c)
confidentiality;
(d) scope of
practice;
(e) communication
skills;
(f) self-care;
(g) suicide awareness;
(h) stages of change;
(i) trauma-informed care;
(j) cultural awareness;
(k) pathways of recovery;
(l) recovery story;
(m) clinical supervision;
(n) accessing community resources;
(o) emotional intelligence;
(p) supporting others in recovery;
(q) one-on-one session skills;
(r) support group facilitation; and
(s) recovery planning.
