Rule 24.177.504 - TEMPORARY PERMIT

(1) Physical therapist or physical therapist assistant applicants for licensure by examination may be issued a temporary permit. The temporary permit shall identify the licensed physical therapist who shall be responsible for providing direct supervision. The temporary permit is valid until the applicant either fails the first national examination for which the applicant is eligible or passes the examination and is granted a license. Only one temporary permit will be issued per applicant.

(2) If the applicant fails the examination, the applicant may sit for the next scheduled examination. A temporary permit will not be extended while the applicant is waiting to retake the examination.
