Rule 24.142.503 - ELEVATOR MECHANIC AND LIMITED MECHANIC APPLICATIONS

(1) An applicant shall have one year from the date of department approval to take the examination for which the application was approved. If the examination is not taken within that one-year period, the applicant will be required to submit a new application, provide written verification of experience, and pay the applicable fees.

(2) All applications shall be approved or disapproved on a case-by-case basis as the department may deem proper, according to the following criteria:

(a) complete application submitted;

(b) fees paid;

(c) acceptable work experience verified; and

(d) past disciplinary actions reviewed and considered, if applicable.
