Rule 18.15.130 - CONTRACTING FOR PURCHASE OF SEIZED FUEL

(1) The department's purchasing bureau shall contract for the purchase and disposition of seized fuel.
(2) The following requirements shall be included in any contract for the purchase and disposition of seized fuel:
(a) The distributor must be
able to accept an entire load of fuel at a single location within 12 hours of
notification by the department that a load of seized fuel is available.
(b) The distributor may bid on the
award of contracts in any or all of the department's 5 districts. Seized fuel
may be unloaded at a location within the district where the fuel was seized or
at a location in an adjoining district, whichever is closer. The location must
be able to accept the entire load of fuel.
(c) Any distributor awarded a contract for
purchase and disposition of seized fuel shall accept into storage all grades of
gasoline, clear diesel fuel, dyed diesel fuel, aviation fuel, and kerosene.
