(1) The following must be completed by certified methamphetamine cleanup contractors:
(a) site assessment, work, disposal of
contaminated material, and post-decontamination final sampling performed in
accordance with department-approved work plans;
(b) preparation and submittal of an assessment,
work, or final clearance plan for department review and written approval prior to
beginning site assessment, decontamination work, or final clearance sampling;
and
(c) final clearance sampling is
conducted by an independent certified methamphetamine cleanup contractor who is not
the certified methamphetamine cleanup contractor or employed by the certified
methamphetamine cleanup contractor that performed the decontamination
work.
(2) Department approval of an assessment, work, or final clearance plan does not relieve a certified methamphetamine cleanup contractor from compliance with any other applicable requirements including state and local building codes, occupational safety and health standards, and the solid waste, hazardous waste, and asbestos requirements in ARM Title 17, chapters 50, 53, and 74.
