Rule 10.57.428 - CLASS 5 PROVISIONAL LICENSE - PRINCIPAL ENDORSEMENT

(1) To obtain a Class 5 provisional license with an elementary, secondary, or K-12 principal endorsement, an applicant must provide verification of:
(a) an education specialist, master's degree
from an institutionally accredited college or university in education,
education leadership, or a P-12 education related area of study;
(b) eligibility for a Class 1, 2, or 5
teaching or school counseling license at the level of the requested endorsement
or a current standard, unrestricted out-of-state license; and
(c) a minimum of three years of experience as
an appropriately licensed and assigned teacher or counselor at the level of the
requested endorsement.
(2) Applicants required to complete coursework requirements other than school law, including special education law are not eligible for a Class 5 provisional license, but may enroll in an internship program pursuant to ARM 10.55.607.
