Section 3 CSR 10-11.200 - Fishing, General Provisions and Seasons

PURPOSE: This amendment clarifies methods by which citizens will be notified where fishing is restricted on department areas.

(1) Fishing is permitted on department areas, except as further restricted by signs, area maps, or this chapter. Statewide permits, seasons, methods, and limits apply unless otherwise provided in this chapter.

(2) Fishing is prohibited on the following department areas or individually-named lakes:

(A) Allred Lake Natural Area

(B) Burr Oak Woods Conservation Area

(C) Busch (August A.) Memorial Conservation Area (Lake 8)

(D) Gama Grass Prairie Conservation Area

(E) Gay Feather Prairie Conservation Area

(F) Green (Charles W.) Conservation Area

(G) Little Osage Prairie

(H) Mount Vernon Prairie

(I) Niawathe Prairie Conservation Area

(J) Pawhuska Prairie

(K) Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center

(L) Springfield Conservation Nature Center

(M) Wah'Kon-Tah Prairie (portion south of Highway 82)

(N) Wah-Sha-She Prairie

(O) Waters (Henry Jackson) and C.B. Moss Memorial Wildlife Area

(P) Youngdahl (Mark) Urban Conservation Area

(3) On Prairie Lake and Fire Lake (Weldon Spring Conservation Area), fishing is prohibited during the appropriate zone's Canada goose season.
