PURPOSE: This amendment removes the language regarding a chief operations officer from the rule as the chief operations officer is no longer a position at MCHCP.

(1) The Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan became effective January 1, 1994, under an Act of the general assembly. The plan offers health care cove rage for state employees, retirees, and their dependents. It also provides this benefit as an option to all other public entities within the state, as long as they meet admission criteria that may be established by the board of trustees.

(2) The responsibility for the proper operation of the plan and the direction of its policies is vested in a board of trustees. The administration of the detailed affairs of the plan is in the charge of an executive director.

(3) The statutory provisions relating to the establishment and operation of the plan of health care benefits is provided for in Chapter 103, RSMo. The rules in 22 CSR 10-2 and 22 CSR 10-3 delineate the terms of the plan established by the trustees of the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan.
