Section 20 CSR 700-1.025 - Conduct of the Business of Insurance Over the Internet

PURPOSE: The amendment to this rule modernizes language and updates the statutory authority.

PURPOSE: This regulation provides general guidelines for the conduct of insurance business in Missouri over the Internet.

(1) All laws and rules applying to the conduct of the business of insurance apply to the business of insurance conducted and transacted over the Internet.

(2) Each web site or home page of an insurance producer or insurance company shall contain-

(A) An address and telephone number for contact with the insurance producer or insurance company; and

(B) A notice of the state(s) in which they are authorized or licensed to engage in the business of insurance.
