Section 20 CSR 1100-1.010 - General Organization

PURPOSE: This rule gives a general description of the organization and operations of the Division of Credit Unions, as required by section 536.023, RSMo (1986) (Refer to section 370.100, RSMo (1986) for statutory provisions relating to the organization of the division.)

(1) The Division of Credit Unions is a division of the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration.

(2) The Division of Credit Unions is headed by a director, who is appointed by the governor of Missouri.

(A) The director of credit unions supervises the operations of credit unions, formed under the laws of the state of Missouri, to insure their compliance with the applicable laws, bylaws and rules.

(B) The director may appoint a deputy director, examiners, assistant examiners and other employees and assistant to aid him/her in discharging his/her duties.

(3) The public may make comments or obtain information concerning the division and its operations by writing to Director, Division of Credit Unions, P.O. Box 1607, Jefferson City, MO 65102.
