PURPOSE: This rule permits the sale of seed containing more than the normally allowed amount of weed seed when needed for experimental or breeding purposes.
(1) The director of agriculture may approve the distribution of seed normally in violation of the Missouri Seed Law if requested and the following information is provided to the director:
(A) The name and address of the firm or
person responsible for the use of the seed;
(B) Scientific and common name of the
seed;
(C) The name and address of
the person or firm from whom the seed will be purchased;
(D) The approximate date of purchase of the
seed;
(E) Where the seed will be
planted;
(F) How seed will be used;
and
(G) If the request is for weed
seed or crop seed containing more than the allowable amount of weed seed, how
spread of the weed seed will be controlled.
