Section 2 CSR 70-15.045 - Control of Apiary Arthropod Pests and Diseases

PURPOSE: This amendment clarifies apiary pest and disease certification.

PURPOSE: This rule establishes how apiary arthropod pests and diseases will be dealt with prior to certification of the colony.

(1) The control of apiary arthropod pests and diseases will be dealt with on an individual basis. Apiary inspectors will determine whether certification is possible. Written recommendation will be given for those arthropod pests and diseases that require some type of treatment for control. When certification is withheld, reinspection will be made within a six (6)-month period.
