Rule 30-901-11.18 - Summary of Licensure/Enrollment Requirements

1. Engineer Intern - an applicant must have an ABET accredited B.S. degree in engineering, or a degree evaluated and found to meet the NCEES engineering education standard, or a B.S. degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related science that is not ABET accredited plus a graduate degree in a curriculum that is ABET accredited at the undergraduate level, pass the Fundamentals of Engineering examination, and meet the other requirements of the Law and Rules and Regulations in order to be enrolled as an Engineer Intern.

Professional Engineer - an applicant must have an ABET accredited B.S. degree in engineering, or a degree evaluated and found to meet the NCEES engineering education standard, or a B.S. degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related science that is not ABET accredited plus a graduate degree in a curriculum that is ABET accredited at the undergraduate level, obtained four full years of qualifying engineering experience verified by PE references, passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination, passed the Principles & Practice of Engineering examination, and met the other requirements of the Law and the Rules and Regulations in order to be licensed as a Professional Engineer.
