Title 30 - Professions and Occupations
Part 2001
Chapter 13 - CODE OF ETHICS
Section 30-2001-13-114
Universal Citation: MS Code of Rules 30-2001-13-114
Current through September 24, 2024
It is unethical and unprofessional for a doctor of chiropractic to have a sexual intimacy with a patient or former patient within two years. The physician/patient relationship requires the doctor of chiropractic to exercise utmost care that he or she will do nothing to "exploit the trust and dependency of the patient." Doctors of chiropractic should make every effort to avoid dual relationships that could impair their professional judgment or risk the possibility of exploiting the confidence place in them by the patient.
