A Commissioner seeking an elected or appointed public office shall notify the MSPA's General Counsel to obtain an opinion whether holding such public office would pose a conflict with serving as a Commissioner of the MSPA. An employee seeking an elected or appointed public office shall notify the MSPA's Executive Director who shall make such a determination. Commissioners and employees alike shall avoid a conflict or appearance of conflict between the Commissioner's or employee's duties to MSPA and duties to another public office.
