Rule 27-140-2.5 - Compensation

The members of the Board shall receive per diem compensation, as provided by law, for each day devoted to the discharge of official duties. In addition, the members of the Board shall be reimbursed the actual and necessary expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties and shall be reimbursed for mileage and actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties in accordance with Miss. Code Ann. 5 25-3-41. No Board member may incur per diem, travel, or other expense unless previously authorized by vote at a meeting of the Board, which action shall be recorded in the official minutes of said meetings. All administration expenses incurred by the Board shall be paid from such funds as may be appropriated by the Legislature for such purpose.
