Residents shall be responsible for the cost of non-emergency transportation if their medical condition would make it unsafe to transport utilizing the SVAB vehicles. In addition, SVAB transportation, to other than VA appointments, will be provided on an as available basis. The resident will be responsible for arranging and paying for the cost of transportation in those instances where SVAB transportation is not available.
