The Division of Medicaid covers any medically necessary Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) diagnostic and treatment services required to correct or ameliorate physical, mental, psychosocial, and/or behavioral health conditions discovered by a screening, whether or not such services are covered under any Medicaid Administrative Rule or the State Plan for EPSDT-eligible beneficiaries and, if required, prior authorized by a Utilization Management/Quality Improvement Organization (UM/QIO), the Division of Medicaid or designated entity.
