Rule 18-25-1.8 - Access by APS Personnel to Alleged Victims of Maltreatment

Designated APS personnel shall have the authority to access alleged victims of maltreatment for the purposes of carrying out the responsibilities set forth in the Mississippi Vulnerable Persons Act, specifically § 43-47-9. Additionally, as provided in § 43-47-9, when the caretaker of a vulnerable person refuses reasonable access as described in the Act, APS may petition the court for an order for injunctive relief enjoining the caretaker from interfering with the investigation.
