Rule 18-14-4.3 - SSA Screening of Joint SSI and SNAP Applications

A. Social Security Administration (SSA) will pre-screen all applications on the day it is received at SSA for expedited services.
B. SSA will advise the household of the option to:
1. Take the
application to the appropriate county office for screening and an interview,
or
2. The application and any
available verifications will be forwarded to the appropriate county office
within one day and an interview will be scheduled.
C. The expedited processing standards begin on the date MDHS receives an application at the appropriate SNAP office.
