Fifty (50) Mississippi hospitals and one (1) specialty hospital participated in the swing bed program during Fiscal Year 2020. They reported 9,496 discharges from their swing beds and an average length of stay of 17.70 days.

Note(s): UMMC - Grenada was granted a CON authority in July 2019 to convert twenty (20) existing acute care beds to provide swing-bed services. UMMC - Grenada began offering services in May 2021. Progressive Medical Management of Batesville, LLC d/b/a Panola Medical Center was granted CON authority in December 2020 to convert ten (10) existing acute care beds to provide swing-bed services.
