No person knowing or having reason to know that a death may be under the jurisdiction of the medical examiner shall bury the body without the permission of the medical examiner. No body shall be cremated unless the death certificate has first been completed and filed with the Office of Vital Records of the Department of Health. Dead bodies may be donated to medical schools as provided for in Sections § 41-39-7 and 41-39-101, et seq. of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated.
