1. The county board of supervisors will pay the sum of one dollar ($1.00) for each certificate of birth or death occurring within the county, which is properly made out and filed with vital statistics. Additional funds, not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00, may be appropriated by the board of supervisors of any county to be used in perfecting the registration of vital records.
2. No fee shall be paid under this statute unless the registrar supplies the tax assessor of each county and the centralized voter registration system of the Secretary of State with a list of deaths of county residents of voting age, not previously listed.
3. The Department of Health is authorized and empowered to deposit all moneys received as fees for vital records in the state treasury in a separate account to be used for the vital statistics system, and for clerical expenses and other expenses necessary for completion and issuance of vital records.
4. Upon certification by the Office of Vital Records to the board of supervisors, the circuit clerk of a county shall receive a recording fee of one dollar ($1.00) for each marriage record prepared and forwarded to the Office of Vital Records. The recording fee shall be paid to the circuit clerk out of the county treasury on order of the board of supervisors once each six (6) months.
