Sec2 12-6-3.109 - Sole-Source Procurement

A contract may be awarded for commodities without competition when the Chief Procurement Officer, the head of a purchasing agency, or a designee of either officer determines in writing that there is only one source for the required commodity. Such purchases shall be in compliance with Section 31-7-13, Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated. State agencies must obtain approval for sole-source purchases from the Office of Purchasing, Travel and Fleet Management.
