Section 12-6-10.103.03 - Conditions for Soliciting Competition

Section 31-7-13(m)(xix), Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated, exempts the purchase of surveillance and other hi-tech equipment used by law enforcement agents in undercover operation from competitive bid requirements. This should be interpreted to mean that no notification of the intent to purchase need be published as required by Section 31-7-13(c), Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated. I t should not be interpreted to mean that competition be ignored.
