MANAGEMENT OF USED OIL
Part 7045.0845 - PROHIBITIONS ON DISPOSAL OF USED OIL

Subpart 1. Land disposal and land application prohibition.
No person shall place used oil in solid waste, apply used oil as a dust suppressant or for road treatment, or otherwise place used oil in or on the land or waters of the state, including wastewater and storm water collection systems, except as provided in part 7045.0820 or unless approved by the commissioner.
Subp. 2. Burning limitations.
Persons shall burn off-specification used oil fuel in only the following devices:
A. industrial
furnaces identified in part
7045.0020, subpart 43b;
B. boilers, as defined in part
7045.0020, subpart 6a, items C and
D, or used oil-fired burning units provided the burner meets the requirements
of part
7045.0855, subpart 3;
C. hazardous waste incinerators subject to
regulation under parts
7045.0542 and
7045.0640; or
D. marine and diesel engines.
