Part 5530.0400 - ROLE OF BUREAU

A. The bureaus role under this chapter is limited to appointing arbitrators to the roster, removing arbitrators from the roster, and referring arbitrators from the roster.

B. The bureau has no role, responsibility, or authority under this chapter to:

(1) compel parties to agree to arbitrate;

(2) enforce an agreement to arbitrate;

(3) compel parties to appear before an arbitrator;

(4) influence, alter, enforce, or set aside the decisions or awards of arbitrators; or

(5) except as provided under part 5500.2850, compel, deny, or modify the payment of fees and expenses to an arbitrator.
