Part 7511.0904 - SECTION 904, ALTERNATIVE AUTOMATIC FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS

IFC Section 904.2.1 is amended by adding a section to read:

904.2.1.1 Protection of existing cooking equipment. Approved automatic fire-extinguishing systems shall be provided for the protection of existing commercial-type cooking equipment that produces grease-laden vapors.

Subpart 1. IFC section 904.1.1.

IFC section 904.1.1 is amended to read:

904.1.1 Certification of service personnel for fire-extinguishing equipment. Service personnel installing, providing, or conducting maintenance on automatic fire-extinguishing systems, other than automatic sprinkler systems, shall possess a valid certificate issued by an approved organization for the type of system and work performed.

Subp. 2. IFC section 904.13.

IFC section 904.13, item 3, is amended to read as follows:

3. In Group R-2 congregate living facilities where domestic cooking facilities are installed in accordance with Section 420.10 of the Minnesota Building Code.
