Subpart 1. Section 602.1.
IFGC Section 602.1 is amended to read as follows:
602.1
General. Decorative
appliances for installation in approved solid fuel burning fireplaces shall be
tested in accordance with ANSI Z21.50-2000, Vented Gas
Fireplaces, and ANSI Z21.88-2000, Vented Gas Fireplace
Heaters, and shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's
installation instructions. Manually lighted natural gas decorative appliances
shall be tested in accordance with an approved method.
Subp. 2. Section 602.3.
IFGC Section 602.3 is amended to read as follows:
602.3
Prohibited installations.
Decorative appliances for installations in fireplaces shall not be installed
where prohibited by IFGC Section 303.3. Unvented decorative appliances shall
not be installed in any dwelling or occupancy.
