Part 1573.0060 - REQUIREMENTS FOR WATER RESOURCE PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS ORDERS

A. A responsible party in a mitigation level 3 or 4 drinking water supply management area must comply with the following:
(1) maintain
field-specific records for six years, starting with the effective date of the
water resource protection requirements order. The records required to be kept
under this subitem must document nitrogen fertilizer use, including but not
limited to its application date, application rate, any credit given for organic
and inorganic nitrogen sources, the timing of the nitrogen fertilizer
application, the source of the nitrogen, and nitrogen's placement;
(2) provide records maintained under this
part to the commissioner upon request;
(3) comply with the prohibitions on fall
application and application to frozen soils under part 1573.0030, unless the
application is excluded from the prohibitions under part 1573.0030, subpart 2;
and
(4) comply with any water
resource protection requirements orders that apply to the drinking water supply
management area governing the cropland over which the responsible party has
control.
B. This chapter is enforceable pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, chapter 18D.
