Section R. 460.2341 - Gas facilities; construction and installation

Rule 41.
(1) Gas facilities of a utility must be constructed and installed pursuant to accepted engineering practices in the gas industry and R 460.20101 to R 460.20606 to ensure, to the extent reasonably practicable, continuity of service, uniformity in the quality of service provided, and the safety of persons and property.
(2) All new meters must conform to 1 of the following standards adopted by reference in R 460.2344:
(a) American National Standards Institute
(ANSI) B109.1-2019 for Diaphragm-Type Gas Displacement Meters (Under 500 Cubic
Feet per Hour Capacity).
(b) ANSI
B109.2-2000 (R2008) for Diaphragm-Type Gas Displacement Meters (500 Cubic Feet
per Hour Capacity and Over).
(c)
ANSI B109.3-2019 for Rotary Type Gas Displacement Meters.
(d) AGA Report No. 3, Orifice Metering of
Natural Gas Part 2: Specifications and Installation Requirements.
(e) AGA Report No. 7, Measurement of Gas by
Turbine Meter.
(f) AGA Report No.
9, Measurement of Gas by Multipath Ultrasonic Meters.
(g) AGA Report No. 11, Measurement of Natural
Gas by Coriolis Meter, Second Edition.
