Rule 21.
(1) The
board approves and adopts by reference the standards of ACOE set forth in the
publication entitled, "Accreditation Council on Optometric Education Policy and
Procedure Manual," published June 2022, which provides for the accreditation of
professional optometric degree programs. A copy of the Accreditation Manual of
ACOE is available free of charge from the AOA's website at
(2) A professional optometric degree program accredited by ACOE is considered approved by the board.
