Rule 25.
(1) A power elevator, except a private residence elevator, private residence inclined elevator, private residence platform lift, or private residence stairway chairlift, must be maintained at least once every 90 days by an elevator journeyperson who is licensed in this state, except for the following devices, which must be maintained at least once every 180 days:
(a) Dumbwaiters.
(b) One-person elevators, electric and
hand-powered.
(c) Platform lifts and
stairway chairlifts in buildings other than private residences.
(d) Private residences inclined elevators
installed under the requirements of the act for use by multiple
residences.
(2) An ongoing written record of all maintenance, repairs, replacements, inspection, callbacks, and testing must be kept in the machine room or on-site if a machine room does not exist.
