Rule 7442.
(1) Chain saws that are specifically designed for firefighting operations to cut holes in roofs, floors, and walls shall be used where cutting operations are performed. If a chain saw is not in use, then the cutting teeth of the chain saw shall be covered to prevent inadvertent contact.
(2) An axe or other sharp-edged or pointed tool shall be protected when stored or carried on the apparatus. A rounded tipped pike pole is excluded from the requirements of this subrule.
