Rule 1957.
(1) Machine tools, such as band saws, drill presses, and pipe-cutting and pipe-threading machines, which are set up on a construction project in a temporary stationary position shall have a stop device which is within reach of the operators designated position and shall have power on/off switch. The switch shall be located and guarded so as to prevent unintentional activation by contact with objects or part of the body.
(2) A foot control shall be provided with a cover or guard that is capable of preventing accidental activation.
