Section R. 38.131 - Definitions

Rule 1.
(1) As used in these rules:
(a) "Act" means 1937 (Ex.
Sess.) PA 4, MCL 38.71 to 38.191, which is commonly known as the teachers
tenure act.
(b) "Commission" means
the state tenure commission created by the act.
(c) "Electronic submission" means submission
by email, by facsimile, or by any other electronic means approved by the
commission.
(d) "Person" means an
individual, partnership, association, corporation, limited liability company,
limited liability partnership, governmental subdivision, or public or private
organization of any kind, other than the commission.
(2) The terms defined in the act have the same meanings when used in these rules.
