SERVICE STANDARDS FOR REQUIRED SERVICES
Section 26.49 - Aircraft Deicing

(1) Definition. Deicing means to provide aircraft deicing servic e s in compliance with any FAA procedures to all aircraft upon request.

(2) Equipment. An operator performing deicing services shall maintain at least two approved deicing vehicles equipped with a tank for heating and dispensing under pressure an ethylene glycol mixture or other product approved by the FAA for deicing under pressure. For all general aviation full service operators these vehicles shall be capable of deicing all aircraft types that the operator handles and shall be equipped with a tank with a capacity of at least 1000 gallons of product. For all other operators, these vehicles shall be capable of deicing the largest aircraft regularly using Logan.

(3) Training. All operators shall submit to the Authority a training program and documentation of compliance with FAA deicing procedures.
