The following terms and their grammatical counterparts are used in 703 CMR 3.00 as described in 703 CMR 3.02:
Authority. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority created by M.G.L. c. 161A.
Special Authority Employee. A person performing services for or holding an office, position, employment or membership in the Authority, whether by appointment, contract of hire or engagement, on a full, regular, part-time, intermittent or consultant basis, to whom no compensation is provided by the Authority but to whom compensation may be provided by someone other than the Commonwealth or the Authority.
