Title 502 CMR 5.00 - PERMIT AND INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS OF ABOVE GROUND STORAGE TANKS OF MORE THAN TEN THOUSAND GALLONS CAPACITY
Section 5.02 - Applicability

(1) 502 CMR 5.00 shall apply to certain aboveground storage tanks with a gross capacity of more than 10,000 gallons used for the storage of any fluid other than water.
(2) 502 CMR 5.00 shall not apply to:
(a) Open tanks such as clarifiers;
(b) Open tanks used for plating, dipping and quenching; and
(c) Oil/water separators.
