M.G.L. c. 131A (The Massachusetts Endangered Species Act) and 321 CMR 10.00: Massachusetts Endangered Species Act Regulations prohibit the taking of any state-listed rare plant or animal species. Forest cutting plans must comply with the applicable endangered species statues and regulations. Forest cutting plans for lands containing estimated habitat of rare wetlands wildlife or high priority sites of rare species habitat are subject to the special approval procedures in 302 CMR 16.04(6).
