Section 6.28 - Account Closure

(1) The association may close an account when the account holder makes repeated attempts to operate with an insufficient balance or when the account holder request account closure. In any closure, the association shall refund the remaining balance to the account holder within five business days.
(2) Any account inactive for a period of three years shall presumed to be abandoned and proceeds paid to the Commonwealth via the state treasurer under provisions of M.G.L. c. 200A.
