Section 6.13B - Pools Dependent upon Betting Interests for Harness

When the association exercises their rights under 205 CMR 6.13B the minimum number of runners selected by the Association shall be consistent throughout the meet.

(1) Unless the Commission otherwise provides, at the time the pools are opened for wagering, the association:

(a) may offer win, place, and show wagering on all contests with six or more betting interests;

(b) may be allowed to prohibit show wagering on any contest with five or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(c) may be allowed to prohibit place wagering on any contest with four or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(d) may be allowed to prohibit Quinella wagering on any contest with three or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(e) may be allowed to prohibit Quinella Double wagering on any contests with three or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(f) may be allowed to prohibit Exacta wagering on any contest with three or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(g) may be allowed to prohibit Trifecta wagering on any contest with six or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(h) may be allowed to prohibit Superfecta wagering on any contest with six or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(i) may be allowed to prohibit Twin Quinella wagering on any contests with three or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(j) shall prohibit Twin Trifecta wagering on any contests with six or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(k) shall prohibit Tri-superfecta wagering on any contests with of six or fewer betting interests scheduled to start;

(l) shall prohibit Twin Superfecta wagering on any contests with six or fewer betting interests scheduled to start.

(2) In horse and harness racing, when the individual horses competing in a race exceed the numbering capacity of the Tote, the highest numbered horse within the capacity of the Tote and all horses of a higher number shall be grouped together and called the "field" and a wager on one of them shall be a wager on all of them.
