Section 630.427 - Respite

(A) Conditions of Payment . Respite care is covered solely to provide temporary relief to non-paid caregivers when the participant requires assistance with activities related to independent living.
(B) Nonpayable Services .
(1) Respite care is
not covered for the purpose of compensating relief or substitute staff for a
paid service provider.
(2) Respite
care is not covered for any time period during which other assistance with
activities related to independent living is available to a
participant.
