Section 702.130 - Responsibility for Eligibility Determination

Individuals and families shall make an application at the local office serving the community in which they currently reside.

If the applicant then moves to an area covered by another office before a determination of eligibility is made, the original office shall retain responsibility for completing the application process. The new office shall cooperate with the original office and shall assist the applicant when necessary. If the applicant is determined eligible, the case shall be established and transferred by the original office within ten calendar days of the eligibility determination to the new office.
