Section 701.420 - Responsibility for Notification of Changes

(A) Except as provided in 106 CMR 701.420(B), the applicant or client must report to the Department within ten calendar days any changes in his or her circumstances that may affect his or her eligibility or the amount of the grant.

(B) Applicants and clients do not have to report changes of less than $100 per month in earned income or income deemed from individuals with earned income. In no circumstances must an applicant or client report changes in earned income from the same source more frequently than once per month.

(C) When income increases temporarily and the client is no longer receiving the increase in the month in which benefits would be lowered, benefits shall be adjusted based on the amount of income reasonably anticipated for that month or, if the reduction has already taken effect, a supplemental payment shall be made.

The Department shall periodically notify the applicant or client of this responsibility.
